The Mario Item Block Widget Android App by Andy Tsui is a widget that allows you to place small item boxes from the Super Mario Brothers game series on your home screen. Press on the box once and a coin or a few other power ups from the game will come out of it. You can add as many as your screen can hold. To add a box to your screen simply long press on the area that you want the box to appear and release once the menu appears, select Widget and then select Mario Box and the box will appear on your home screen.
