CowPotato™ 3D Android App Review
AndroidAppReviewer | Jan 07, 2010 | Comments 2
The CowPotato™ 3D Android App by Froogloid, LLC is a shooter game for the Android. The object of the game is to shoot as many cows as possible until you either run out of potatoes or time. The farther away the cows are the more points they are worth. You can either use the trackball or the touch screen to aim and fire the potato launcher. There are 3 levels of difficulty, Easy, Medium and Hard. The app also features a local and global score system so you can see your personal best score or the scores for anyone who plays on your phone as well as how you match up against players worldwide.
The graphics for this game are 3D and they are pretty good but they could look a bit better. The 2D graphics throughout the game however are very well done. The game is fun to play but the aiming for the controls needs some work. Watch out in the more advanced levels for the cows that point their butts towards you, I’ll let you experience what happens yourself and not ruin the entertaining suprise.
Overall, this is a good shooter game for the Android. At the time if this review the CowPotato™ 3D Android App is $1.99. Thumbs Up.

Thanks for the review. I’m one of the devs working with Froogloid on CowPotato — can you give more detail on what you think could / should work better about the aiming? Are you aiming with the trackball or on-screen / touch? Or both? I’d appreciate any specific feedback so we can actually do something with it!
Hi Jeremy,
I used both on the G1 and found that the main problem is without the laser it’s really difficult to aim. It might be a good idea to have some kind of guide in the default aim in order to help players aim. It’s totally fine to have a challenging game but frustrating you want to stay away from which is what I experienced with CowPotato. With the laser the game is really fun to play which is why I suggest the default assist with the aim.
Let us know if and when you update it.
Thanks for reading.
