AT&T customers will finally be joining the up to Android family with Gingerbread updates promised for all of AT&T’s Android devices. For those AT&T users who are not already rooted and running some form of Gingerbread currently, this is a welcome addition to the Android family on AT&T. Samsung’s ever fearless Captivate is among those phones receiving the Gingerbread update along with the: Atrix, Inspire, Pheonix, Crossover and Infuse.  The updates will be delivered via the OTA feature however, due to the size of the updates the update may be best suited to install via Wi-Fi. Gingerbread is expected to increase the overall functionality and speed of these Android Phones.
