HTC Released Gingerbread source Code for Flyer, Desire Z, and Incredible S

HTC continues to lay the foundation for opening up Android. In addition to promising the unlocking of boot loaders for future phones (EVO 3D and Sensation owners are eagerly waiting for this) they have now released additional source code for the Flyer (7-inch tablet) Incredible S and desire Z.

While the source code for these models has been hacked for quite some time and the flashing community has several options of custom ROMs to choose from for these devices, it does show HTC’s commitment to providing a truly open sourced product. While this release won’t be shaking the foundation of its rivals developers for Android will wake up to the smell of new source code, and for a developer there’s nothing like waking up to the smell of freshly released source code.
