Given what we know about Google updates, they come often, it is no surprise to hear that Android 4.0 a.k.a. Ice Cream Sandwich is due to be distributed by years end. Naturally one would assume that there are going to be upgrades from the current gingerbread release.
Gizmocrunch is reporting that 4.0 is going to be a mesh between Honeycomb and Gingerbread but has not yet confirmed whether the device sporting the sexy new software will be a phone or a tablet. The 4.0 software which was revealed at Google I/O was infused with new camera software that would feature facial tracking feature. Other “tablet like” features from honeycomb will also be merged into the 4.0 software. Google continues its efforts to make one set of software that will run on every single device, Smart Phone, tablet , different screen sizes, and form factors.
