HTC loses patent suit with Apple

Apple has continued it’s legal battles in the mobile world. It seems like every day some technology company is suing another while laying claims that companies should develop their own original technology and stop stealing others. Technology unlike anything else in recent memory has evolved beyond all imagination at such a rapid rate. So, why is it that companies see the need to police every other company out there? The patent lawsuits, while detrimental to the products, tend to waste time, money, and other resources that could be dedicated to developing that new technology.
Apple has just won the first stage of a Patent suit against one of its Major competitors: HTC. There are two patents in question and one of them has to do with some coding that is at the heartbeat of the Android operating system. This could potentially be a big blow for both Android and HTC. HTC has already said publicly that it will appeal the ITC’s decision and they believe they have a very strong case to do so. While the total ban of HTC phones being imported to the US is unlikely, it is still a possibility, depending on how the appeal process ends and how Apple decides to handle it once all the dust has settled.
