The Wyse PocketCloud RDP/VNC Android App by Wyse Technology Inc allows you to establish an RDP/VNC connection with your home computer. This connection is established through any Android mobile device in which the pocketcloud is installed on. The app will let you set up a remote connection for access to files and programs on the computer of your choice when you are not near the computer. The app relies on the RDP/VNC protocols in order to establish the most reliable connections possible. The app uses your Gmail account to enable push notifications about updates and connection issues.
When you open the app you notice just how well designed the app is. The first thing you will need to do is set up your Gmail account and register it so it can be used on your android mobile device. The app does feature 3.0 honeycomb supports so tablets are able to be used and personally recommended if you have a tablet device. After your account is set up and you have established a connection with your home computer you will be given the choice to select from a RDP connection, a VNC connection, or a VMware View (for enterprise users) connection. Please refer to the definitions the app provides for which selection is best for the type of windows you use, or for what you need the connection to be used for.
Overall, this is app is fantastic and a must have. At the time of this review the Wyse PocketCloud RDP/VNC Android App free app and does offer a paid version with several bonus features in the paid version for $14.99 such as extra security encryption. Thumbs up!
