The TuneIn Radio Android App by RadioTime Inc app is a radio station app that will catalogue all of your local stations both AM and FM and allow you to listen to your favorite station. The app works based on whether or not the radio station you are looking for has an active Internet streaming capability. If it does the TuneIn app will locate the Internet stream and begin to stream whatever Internet programming is currently being streamed on the Internet stations. You can locate radio stations based on the GPS function in your phone, or you can look up radio stations in other states. Podcasts are also available via the TuneIn app.

When you open up the app you will be able to choose from one of the categories that include: Local Radio, Music, Talk Radio, and Sports talk radio, by location, language or podcasts. After making your selection you will be given additional more specific categories to choose from, or you will be able to browse from the huge selection of station that TuneIn has to offer. One of the great features of TuneIn is that it will continue to play in the background, if you go back or hit the home button, so you may perform other tasks on your device while still having the radio station of your choice playing in the background.
