In an effort to simplify Android user’s experience while looking for apps in the Market. There are 5 new lists/filters that are now available to enhance your app searching experience.
- Top App Charts – This section is broken down into a few sub categories: Top Paid, Top Free, Top Grossing, Top New Paid and Top New Free. The default displays only 5 but you can click the link at the end of the list to see all of the apps. This will give you 2 full pages of apps to check out.
- Editor’s Choice – 1 full page of staff picked apps.
- Trending Apps – Apps that are popular at the moment.
- Better Related Apps – As you browse related apps are recommended to you by developer, what other users who downloaded that app also downloaded and what users who installed that app have also installed.
- Top Developers – This section displays the top developers so you can find the best apps by developer.
Overall, these new features look like they will give a better option for finding the best Android Apps but so far it seems that it’s the same stuff that was displayed before. The Editor’s Choice section definitely highlights some good, quality apps but the selection seems to be mostly compiled of older apps. However, the New and Trending sections look like they display some newer apps that are of pretty good quality. This Android Market update is coming soon to Android devices and is now available at . The only new feature that seems to be missing is the Top Developers section.
