Kik Messenger Android App Review

The Kik Messenger Android App by Kik Interactive is a smartphone to smartphone messenger. The app is a cross-platform app which means it works across other smart phone platforms as well so you can send messages to your contacts with other smartphones. The messaging is free because it uses data rather than your SMS messages on your carrier’s plan.
When the app first loads you will need to create a free account. Once you have done that the app will find other contacts that you have that also have the application and then add them to your list. In the top right hand corner of the screen you have 3 buttons: Compose, Contacts and Search. Under these buttons is your list. Sending messages and navigating through this app is very easy due to it’s clean user interface. The messages have a message history similar to the way the iPhone SMS messages are displayed. You also get the same feature that the BlackBerry BBM has where you can see if your message has been read or not.
Overall, this app is still in Beta but as is it has a lot of potential and is a good app for sending free SMS across the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry platforms. At the time of this review the Kik Messenger Android App is free. Thumbs Up.

I think iGotChat is a much better app and is free too! My friends and I use it all the time and have never had any issues.
