The Advanced Task Manager by Arron La gives you the ability to stop specific apps from running in the background. When the app first loads you will see 5 buttons and your phone’s stats including Battery, SD card and System Memory. The 6 buttons include Applications, Running Services, Uninstall, Battery Usage and Backup.
The Applications button you have the ability to kill an app so that it does not run in the background, view a list of apps that can be installed on your SD card and move them there if you choose to and the option to uninstall any app that is on your Android device. To kill an app and stop it from running in the background simply select it by pressing the check mark next to it so that it turns green and then press the end button located on the bottom of the screen. The Running Services button gives you a list of all of the apps that are currently running in the background and tells you for how long they have been running for. You can stop them from running by pressing the app once. The Uninstall button is a shortcut to the uninstall tab from the Applications button and allows you to uninstall apps. The battery Usage button displays a list of apps and system features that are currently using the battery and their percentage of the battery that they are using. You can select an item and reduce its battery usage from the item’s settings. At the time of this review the BackUp function is still be implemented and does not work yet.
Overall, this is an excellent app for managing your apps and battery usage for your Android device. At the time of this review the Advanced Task Manager Android App is $0.99. Thumbs Up.
