Jewels Online Android App Review

The Jewels Online Android App by Cloudroid is a beweled type pf game where you can play against people from all over the world online. When the app first loads you will need to create a Cloudroid account if you don’t already have one. Once you create an account you will be able to access the Game Lobby where you can select an opponent to play against and chat with other players. To find an opponent you will need to find a Game Room that is blue and has a yellow button with a black arrow on it. The Game Rooms that are open but have a lock on them means that you need a password in order to join from the user who created the room. You can create your own Game Room by pressing the New Game button in the top left hand corner of your screen.
The object of the game is the same as Bejeweled, swap the different colored jewels so that you get at least 3 of the same color in either a vertical or horizontal row and the jewels will disappear. Your score and your opponent’s score can be found at the top of the screen. The first player to reach 999 points wins. In this game the are items that you can collect by eliminating the jewel that has the time on it. You can then access these items to use against your opponent from the bottom of your screen. Simply select an item by pressing it to use it against your opponent. The items create a challenge because they basically slow you down for a short period of time.
Overall, this app takes a classic game, adds some new challenges and allows you to play against people word wide. At the time of this review the Jewels Online Android App is free. Thumbs Up.

The object is the same and the graphics are the same too. They used the same images from Bejeweled 2. If they weren’t given permission by PopCap, I wish them a lot of luck keeping this game alive.
Cloudroid. Is that a social gaming network like OpenFeint is to iOS? Playing Bejeweled vs sounds fun. I wish someone would come up with a ported version of Puzzle Quest’s duel on Android.
I don’t trust apps from developers who SPAM the android market, putting pointers to their apps the comments for every free app they can find. I’m sick of trying to find out more about an app and seeing statements about searching for Jewels Online and cloudroid.
