How did you get into developing apps?

moblyng:

Moblyng got into developing social gaming apps for the web and mobile in early 2009. Our area of expertise has been in the mobile world for the past few years and we thought players should be able to play their gaming apps from the same account, not only on the web but also on their mobile device. We were able to develop proprietary technology that allows players to do this across multiple platforms including Android, iPhone, Facebook and WebOS. They can now truly play anywhere, anytime via native apps for their particular platform.

What was your inspiration for developing this app?

moblyng:

The Street Racing genre has been a huge success on the web on social networking sites such as Facebook and Myspace as well as on the iPhone, but players didn’t really have that option on Android so we wanted to open up that channel for them with the development of m:Racing. Internally we have several developers that are car buffs as well so it made sense to create a game for a popular genre that was under-served on Android. Our creative team worked hard to create content for users to get the rush of street racing while playing on their Android device. At the end of the it’s all about what the users want to play.

How long did it take to develop the app?

With our cross-platform technology we were able to create this game in just a few weeks – from conception to shipping.

Are there any hidden features to the app?

You’ll have to play to find out, but we are constantly updating our content to keep things fresh and exciting for our players.

Do you have any future plans for this app?

moblyng:

We’ll be releasing this app on more mobile platforms as they become available so players can play with more of their friends regardless of platform.

Do you plan to develop any new apps? If so when can we expect to see them in the Market?

moblyng:

We are currently developing a few more apps to be released in the Market by the end of 2009. The Android Market is great because it allows us to release our apps quickly so keep an eye out for more titles to come!
