With Recordoid Dictaphone the user can easily record voice straight from the microphone and also perform other actions such as:

• add notes
• send files via e-mail
• save and view recording’s location on the map
• set as a ringtone
• manage all recordings (according to date and time, number etc.)

What was your inspiration for developing this app?

somyac:

Our intention was to create a recording application with a very intuitive user interface. Such “feature” is possible with old dictaphones – the user could control the device using only few buttons. Android smartphones are now provided with a touchscreen and that gave the possibility to digitalize and adapt this idea.

Are there any hidden features to the app?

somyac:

Additional configuration is available through the settings panel. It is very easy for the user to, for example assign a location to each recording (and view it later on the map) or enable sound effects.

Do you have any future plans for this app?

somyac:

We want to support all Android phones, including the ones that will be presented to the market in the future… and we are looking forward to feedback from the users!

Recordoid has been designed for low and high screen resolutions. The application works with HTC, Google Nexus One, LG, and Motorola phones.
