Today Google held a press conference at their headquarters in Mountain View, California where they released all of the official information about the Google Nexus One. Here is all of the information including what you need to do in order to get one.
About the Google Nexus One
Here are the specs of the phone:

- Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor
- Android OS 2.1
- Multi-color notifications trackball
- Sensors to enhance light and proximity power saving features
- 11.5 mm thick
- 5 MP with LED flash camera
- Stereo bluetooth
- 3.5 mm headphone jack
- Active noise cancellation
- Ability to engrave the back of the phone when placing your order. Please note that this will delay the shipping to ship within 72 hours.
- Includes News, Weather, Gallery and Google Earth native apps

How much does the Google Nexus One cost and what cell phone carrier do I need?
There are quite a options as of today that are available as well as some options in the near future to consider depending on which cell phone carrier you prefer.
- If you are a non T-Mobile customer:
You can purchase the phone for $179 with a 2 year T-Mobile contract and the $79.99 Even More new T-Mobile plan.
- If you are a T-Mobile customer with an upgrade available:
If you have an upgrade available you can upgrade to the new plan and renew your contract for 2 years.
- If you are a T-Mobile customer with a shared plan such as a family or business plan:
You will either need to call HTC and make one of your lines an individual plan with the Even More plan in order to receive the discounted price of $179 or you will need to pay the full price of the unlocked phone for $529 + tax and you then use the phone with your pre-existing T-Mobile account. The only thing that you will need to have is a SmartPhone Android package which T-Mobile can change for you.
- If you are a Verizon customer:
The Google Nexus One will be available in the Spring of 2010.
- If you are a Vodafone customer:
The Google Nexus One will be available in the Spring of 2010.
If you are not a T-Mobile, Verizon or Vondafone customer:
The Google phone store will be adding other carriers and handsets throughout 2010.
Information about the Google Nexus One for Developers:
A secure encrypted solution is being worked on that will give Android Developers the ability to install apps to the SD card. The Droid will be updated to Android OS 2.1.
