ExpenseTracker v6.2 Android App Review
AndroidAppReviewer | Dec 22, 2009 | Comments 0
The ExpenseTracker v6.2 by RapidValue is an expense tracking app with tons for features for the Android. Before you can use any of the features you will need to create an account. To do this you will be asked to enter an account name, a description of the account, the starting balance and a budget. You can create multiple accounts as an added bonus to keep everything organized and separate if you have multiple accounts that you would like to track.
From the Home tab you can add a new transaction or check and add a bill reminder. You can view bills due up to the next 30 days. From this tab you will also be given a summary of how much of your budget has been spent for each account. The Accounts tab displays all of your accounts that you have added to the app as well as how much of each budget you have used. You can also edit your accounts and add a new account from this tab. The Transaction tab features the ability to add a single attraction, list your transactions so you can edit or delete them, add multiple transactions and you can also use the Account Transfer feature with allows you to transfer money from one account to another. A really cool feature for adding attractions is that you can take a picture of the receipt with your phone’s camera with the receipt capture option. However, while using the recipt capture feature I did encounter a Foreclose error. The Analyze tab gives you the ability to view graphs from the current month, last 3 months, last 6 months and for the current year. The Settings tab allows you to add a category, edit a category, set your currency, add a budget and export your transactions in a CSV file that you can e-mail.
The user interface of the app is very easy to use and navigate in general, the only thing is that sometimes when you need to enter in information you will need to slide out your keyboard as the touch screen keyboard will not be displayed for you to use. The graphics are very nice and professional.
Overall, this is a great app for tracking your expenses on your phone. With all of the sensitive information that this app contains it would be ideal to add a password protection feature for security. Other than that an the few bugs mentioned above this is a really great expense tracking app for the Android. At the time of this review the ExpenseTracker v6.2 Android App is $3.99. Thumbs Up but a note to the developers at RapidValue to please fix the bugs mentioned above and let us know by posting a comment on this review when they are fixed as we cannot fully recommend to download this app with a Foreclosure error.
