How did you get into developing apps?

Alex:

I have been a developer for a while and have always wanted to build
mobile apps. Google did a fantastic job of building an open source
environment where developers could get up to speed quickly and share
ideas with other developers at all levels. I have often had responses
direct from the android engineering team which makes you feel part of
the community.

What was your inspiration for developing this app?

Alex:

In fairness the original idea came from an iPhone app which performed
digital zoom and I saw this as something that Android users would
enjoy using. However, when I received such a positive response from
the people who bought the app, I wanted to build for them the best
camera application that I could which focused on style, fun and
innovative features.

How long did it take to develop the app?

Alex:

6 weeks, although some of the code was taken from another application
yet to be released.

Are there any hidden features to the app?

Alex:

Not hidden exactly, but Camera ZOOM is highly customizable and we will
continue to release free shutter skins and border packs, which we feel
enhance the app.

Do you have any future plans for this app?

Alex:

Yes and 80% of these are in response to what customers are asking for.

Do you plan to develop any new apps? If so when can we expect to see them in the Market?

Alex:

We are prototyping some new apps but the focus for now is Camera ZOOM
as we owe it to our customers!
